Disability and Health Activities

In addition to in-house projects, the Disability and Health Team, within the CDC, National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, supports state health departments, universities, and national organizations to develop state disability and health programs, implement interventions that promote the health of people with disabilities throughout their lifespan, deliver health communication messages, and assess health risks and the health status of people with disabilities.  To quickly navigate this page and obtain descriptions of our ongoing activities, click on the menu LINKS below.

   STATE DISABILITY & HEALTH PROGRAMS

Implementing effective interventions in communities is one of many important state grantee activities. The CDC is currently able to fund 16 state disability and health programs.
