Give us your input about IFT education programs!
In an effort to continue to provide meaningful educational programming, we are requesting your input about IFT courses, webcasts, and events. Complete a short survey by August 20, 2008, 12:00 p.m. Central to be eligible for prizes!

IFT offers a wide variety of educational resources for teachers, professionals, and students of all ages. 

IFT Knowledge & Learning Center

Knowledge & Learning Center
Attend one- to two-day conferences on timely topics, or participate in a variety of webcasts throughout the year. The Knowledge & Learning Center also hosts the popular Pre-Meeting Short Courses prior to the IFT Annual Meeting and Food Expo.

IFT/Discovery School
Learn more about a career in food science, and what food science is. Developed by IFT, the IFT Foundation, and Discovery Education.

Introduction to the Food Industry
This online resource is a self-study learning tool designed to assist high school students in their exploration of the food industry and its career opportunities.

Undergraduate Programs, Graduate Programs and Scholarships

Approved Undergraduate Programs
A comprehensive list of food science and technology departments or programs that offer curricula and options that IFT's  Committee on Higher Education has determined meet the "IFT Undergraduate Education Standards for Degrees in Food Science." 

Education Standards for Food Science Programs
IFT's Undergraduate Curriculum Standards for Degrees in Food Science is a guideline of required courses.

Guide Book for Food Science Programs
The Guide Book contains: details of the requirements needed to obtain IFT approval based on the most recent set of standards, provides resources for helping to meet those requirements and provides examples of how others are meeting the IFT requirements.

Graduate Program Directory
This directory contains comprehensive, up-to-date  information on more than 40 universities in the United States and Canada offering food science graduate programs.

IFT Scholarships
IFT Scholarships are available each year to outstanding undergraduate and graduate students. These awards are given by food industry companies, organizations, IFT Divisions, IFT Sections, and the IFT Foundation to help young scientists receive the education and training necessary to fill positions in industry, government, and education.

Culinary Schools
A list of U.S. and international culinary schools. These programs have not been approved by IFT, and are therefore ineligible for IFT scholarships.
