Approved Undergraduate Programs
A comprehensive list of food science and technology
departments or programs that offer curricula and options that IFT's Committee on
Higher Education has determined meet the "IFT Undergraduate Education Standards
for Degrees in Food Science."
Education Standards for Food Science Programs IFT's Undergraduate Curriculum Standards
for Degrees in Food Science is a guideline of required courses.
Guide Book for Food Science Programs The
Guide Book contains: details of the requirements needed to obtain IFT approval
based on the most recent set of standards, provides resources for helping to
meet those requirements and provides examples of how others are meeting the
IFT requirements.
Graduate Program Directory This directory
contains comprehensive, up-to-date information on more than 40
universities in the United States and Canada offering food science graduate
programs.
IFT Scholarships
IFT Scholarships are
available each year to outstanding undergraduate and graduate students. These
awards are given by food industry companies, organizations, IFT Divisions, IFT
Sections, and the IFT Foundation to help young scientists receive the education
and training necessary to fill positions in industry, government, and education.
Culinary
Schools A list of U.S. and international culinary schools. These programs
have not been approved by IFT, and are therefore ineligible
for IFT scholarships.
