The following document summarizes measurements taken
of many air pollutants by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC)
in response to the World Trade Center Disaster. Included for each
pollutant are pie charts showing how many measurements were below
the protective screening level, maps, and discussion of how EPA set
the screening level. The summaries reflect data that had been processed
and validated through May 29, 2002; dates included in each chart reflect
the date of the last validated result for each parameter.

Environmental Monitoring Summaries
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and
other federal, state and local agencies collected extensive environmental
monitoring data from the World Trade Center site and nearby areas
in Manhattan, Brooklyn and New Jersey. Daily summaries are no longer
published, but EPA does provide the entire set of summaries.
