VA JOBS

Achieving Work and Life Balance

FLEXIBLE WORK HOURS
At VA, you can break away from the traditional 9 to 5, 40-hour workweek without sacrificing the opportunities and benefits that come with job security.

We'll let you choose a schedule that accommodates your needs and lifestyle. For instance, you might choose to vary your arrival and departure times, working longer but fewer days during your pay period.

Take your child to work - every day. It's an option for some VA employees thanks to on-site child care centers. Childcare programs are offered for children of different ages. Educational programs that reinforce family values, and promote the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children are emphasized. Parents are welcome to enjoy lunch with their children in a learning environment that is safe, nurturing, and convenient to working parents.
