Acceptance List

128 Singles Main Draw, Feed-In Consolation through Quarterfinals
The draw will be made and seeds posted on or before July 21, 2008.

Level of Tournament
USTA National: Level 3
USTA/Midwest: Level 2

Seeding Criteria
Players will be seeded based on the most current USTA/Midwest Section Standing List in the division of the event.

Selection Process
Players will be selected into the main draw in the following order:
(1) 26 players from the Top 200 of the most current USTA National Standing List in the next lower division (Girls 14).
(2) Ninety-eight players from the most current USTA National Standing List in the age division of the event (Girls 16).
(3) Remaining four wild-card appointments may be selected at the tournament committee's discretion.

USTA/Midwest Section Suspension Point System
Signing up for two events
The USTA Code of Conduct and Suspension Point System is in effect. You are expected to play the entire event as scheduled. All players will be given five (5) suspension points for entering two or more tournaments that take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each tournament committee involved agrees with the multiple entries in writing.

Alternates/Status Information
Please provide the tournament committee with two phone numbers and an e-mail address, if possible. The tournament director will provide a status list for alternates into the event.

Start Times
First match start times will be posted by noon on July 23, 2008.

Check In
Tournament check-in for all players will be at the Schwartz Tennis Center, July 27, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. unless prior arrangement made with the tournament director. Match check-in will be at each particular tournament site control desk after you have registered at the Schwartz Tennis Center. Match check-in must be at least 15 minutes prior to each player's particular start time.

Refund Policy
There will be no refunds after the acceptance list is posted.

Order of Play
Monday, July 28, 2008
The first round of main draw matches (round of 128) will be played starting at 9:00 a.m. The first round of consolation and the second round of the main draw matches (round of 64) will follow in the afternoon. View the Web site TennisLink for individual start times. Both the Schwartz Tennis Center and the Purdue University Varsity and Co-Rec Tennis Courts will be used. Rain back-up will be at the Schwartz Tennis Center.

Rules
All USTA rules and regulations will apply.

Awards and Gifts
Awards will be presented to all tournament finalists in the main and consolation draws, as well as third and fourth place. A tournament T-shirt will be given to all tournament participants.

Dress Code
Appropriate tennis attire is required.

Practice Courts
Indoor practice courts will be available at the Schwartz Tennis Center, $12 per court hour on a first reserved basis. Outdoor courts will be available at no charge at the tournament sites. Credit card pre-payment will be required to hold practice courts. Courts can be reserved for up to one hour per day only. Walk-on availability can be used (same fees) with no limit on the amount of times per day.

Locker Rooms
Lockers/showers will be available at the Schwartz Tennis Center. Please bring your own shower towels.

Racquet Stringing
A racquet stringer will be available at the Schwartz Tennis Center at all times during the tournament. Stringing prices will vary depending on the type of string. If you provide your own string, a $15 per racquet stringing charge will be assessed.

Court Surface
The Schwartz Tennis Center offers six indoor and six outdoor Plexipave hard courts. The Purdue Co-Rec and Varsity courts, and Cumberland Courts are also hard courts.

Directions to the Purdue University Schwartz Tennis Center
From Chicago, traveling south on I-65
Take exit 178. Turn right off of the exit and travel south to State Street (McDonald's on the corner). Turn right onto State Street and continue past the Purdue residence halls to the Hwy 526/Airport Road stop light (strip mall with Follett’s Bookstore on the corner). Turn right and travel approximately 0.9 miles to the Schwartz Tennis Center, which is on your left. If you come to a stop sign at Cherry Lane, you’ve traveled too far.

From Indianapolis, traveling north on I-65
Take exit 172. Turn left off of the exit onto South Street/St. Road 26. Continue on this road through downtown Lafayette, over the bridge into West Lafayette. South Street will become State Street. Continue past the Purdue residence halls to the Hwy 526/Airport Road stop light (strip mall with Follett’s Bookstore on the corner). Turn right and travel approximately 0.9 miles to the Schwartz Tennis Center, which is on your left. If you come to a stop sign at Cherry Lane, you’ve traveled too far.

From Illinois south, traveling east on 1-74
Exit onto Hwy 231 North at Crawfordsville exit. Travel north on Hwy 231 to State Street in West Lafayette. Turn left onto State Street and continue past the Purdue residence halls to the Hwy 526/Airport Road stop light (strip mall with Follett’s Bookstore on the corner).
