GovTrip FAQs

Amendments to a Travel Voucher

What should be done if I find that expenses should have been reimbursed to a traveler but the voucher has already been submitted and paid?

You should select "Amend" then simply add the expense type and the amount to be reimbursed to the traveler.

***IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT REMOVE EXPENSES THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN PAID TO THE TRAVELER UNLESS THEY ARE EXPENSES TO WHICH THE TRAVELER WAS NOT ENTITLED***

GovTrip knows what expenses have already been paid.  If expenses already paid are removed from the voucher it will result in the traveler owing the government money.  The GovTrip voucher is cumulative.  So, when amending a voucher, you add an expense and the total on the voucher reflects that amount for both the original voucher and the amended voucher.
