| IBRA Information | The Small Hive Beetle (Aethina tumida). It is a parasite and scavenger of honey bee
(Apis mellifera). The larvae (pictured) feed on pollen and honey and damage the comb. First found in the southern regions of Africa, it is now of concern to beekeepers throughout the world.
