PURPOSE LeadNet aims to create a learning community both within MSUE and among our partners that is centered on facilitative leadership for community action. is a three-day workshop designed to build facilitative leadership within MSU Extension, and among the public at large. The workshop provides participants with a thorough grounding in group facilitation in order to increse their ability to work productively with and community organizations. Participants learn process tools for brainstorming, analyzing ideas, decision making, and planning. They also develop skills in leading a group discussion, reaching consensus, setting outcome-based goals for meetings, and using flip charts. Each participant has opportunities to practice leading, and receives extensive written and verbal feedback from the instructors and co-participants. An impact study of the workshop was completed in March 2008.

STRATEGIC FUTURING...
is a one-day workshop that introduces group process tools for each step of a planning process. Participants learn about the steps, and practice tools for visioning, brainstorming, prioritizing, decision making and action planning. They also create a plan for a strategic futuring event.
