Research Administration

The Office of Research Administration (ORA) promotes the responsible conduct of research by assisting investigators in understanding and complying with state and federal statutes and regulations applicable to Purdue’s research enterprise. Specifically, we assist investigators to:

  • Ensure the integrity of research;
  • Protect human and animal research subjects;
  • Ensure the safe use of infectious and other biohazardous agents;
  • Disclose and manage conflicts of interest and outside activities;
  • Identify and observe export control regulations and statutes;
  • Manage sponsored projects;
  • Interpret Purdue’s Policy on Intellectual Property;
  • Educate students and postdoctoral scholars in the responsible conduct of research; and
  • Be informed about new or changing regulations and statutes affecting research.
