The Foundation is the only impartial organization educating people about water issues in California and the West.

We want to be your resource for in-depth, impartial information on such issues as environmental restoration, water rights and water quality. Your annual contribution helps us publish Western Water and River Report; publish new and revised/updated titles in our Layperson's Guide series; develop public television documentaries and educational videos; conduct water tours; and organize special events. Funds from our contributors also support our K-12 school programs, which annually reach more than 200,000 students.

The Foundation offers a Giving Back Contribution Plan with multiple levels of support. With your generous contribution of $100, as a Foundation Individual, you will receive:

  • One subscription to Western Water magazine
  • One subscription to the biannual Colorado River Basin newsletter, River Report
  • Copies of new and revised titles in our Layperson's Guide series
  • Reduced rates to attend our special events
  • Advance notice of our water tours and other events
  • Recognition in the Foundation's Annual Report

Other levels of support receive additional benefits

Foundation Founder ($500-$749) - all the Individual and Builder benefits plus five additional subscriptions to Western Water and one Delta Sustainability Map

Planned Giving is another way you can support the Water Education Foundation. Planned Giving refers to the process of making a charitable gift of estate assets to a nonprofit organization of your choice. Through this process, you can help to ensure that water education continues in your name. For more information on leaving a legacy to the Foundation click here or, contact Beth Stern.

The Water Education Foundation will not sell or trade the personal or contact information of its donors with anyone else. Furthermore, the Foundation will not send mailings on behalf of other organizations.
