Watershed restoration
has become a high priority on the Forest. Current efforts involve two main
components: road decommissioning and aquatic passage improvement. Details
along with Power Point presentations can be seen on our Watershed
Restoration site.

by the President on October 30, 2000. The committees duties include

MONITORING
& EVALUATION REPORT
Monitoring is a key part of the Forest Plan implementation. The 2007 Monitoring
Report (1.8mb .pdf) highlights Clearwater NF monitoring activities for Fiscal Year 2007 (October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007) and meets the intent of the Forest
Plan (Chapter IV) and 36 CFR 219. It presents an evaluation of our management
strategies to see if we are meeting the goals set forth in the Forest Plan.
The information gained from monitoring helps us determine what is working
and what is not. We can then make adjustments to the Forest Plan when, or
if, necessary.
