Awards Each year, the Administration on Aging recognizes the contributions of outstanding volunteers who represent the tens of thousands of older Americans that are working in their communities to protect the integrity of Medicare and Medicaid, and seeking to ensure the quality of care provided to older and needy Americans. AoA is extremely grateful for the invaluable efforts of the tens of thousands of older Americans who donate their time on a daily basis to improve the quality of life for people of all ages. Listed below are the names, pictures, and descriptions of these outstanding honorees for 2000 and 1999.
