SciPICH Site Tour
Welcome!
This Web site was developed to help you learn about,
evaluate, and select interactive health communication (IHC) applications that
provide information or guidance on a health-related issue. We welcome your feedback and suggestions and encourage your participation in
the development of the site. The following areas are featured on this site:
Interactive Health Communication
New to IHC? This introduction is for you...
This section introduces you to interactive health
communication (IHC), and outlines what to look for and avoid when seeking health-related
information and support from an IHC application. Evaluation resources and a quick
checklist will help you judge whether the health information offered is useful, reliable,
and can be trusted. |
|
Resource Center
IHC resources for researchers and others...
Explore this collection of selected links to learn more about
evaluation guidelines, publications, listservs, organizations, upcoming conferences, and
other issues and resources related to IHC. Researchers will want to review the
panel's extensive list of IHC references used in
their work. |
|
Evaluation Reporting Template 1.0
A tool for purchasers and developers...
The SciPICH is proposing the Evaluation Reporting
Template for Interactive Health Communication Applications Version 1.0
as a standardized approach to planning and reporting IHC evaluations. IHC developers
are invited to voluntarily submit their applications online and share their information
with potential purchasers and users. Your suggestions concerning enhancements for
future versions are welcome! |

SciPICH
Publications
Scientific articles published by the panel...
In addition to the Journal of American Medical Associations's
release of An evidence-based approach to interactive
health communication: A challenge to medicine in the Information Age, the SciPICH
has several more journal articles scheduled to go to press by early 1999. Once
published, details on how to access the panel's publications and final report will be available in this section. |
