Air Management Services (AMS) is responsible for enforcement of the Philadelphia Air Management Code, the Regulations of the Air Pollution Control Board, the Noise and Excessive Vibration Code, the Asbestos Code, Regulations of the Board of Health, and State & Federal Regulations controlling air pollution. AMS works with other City agencies in the enforcement of the Implosion Guidelines. In addition to providing engineering, enforcement, permitting, lab, and program services, AMS also operates a citywide air sampling network to continuously monitor Philadelphia's air for comparison with Federal air quality standards.
