Case scenario #1
Case 1
M.T. is a 27 y/o G2P1 at 28 weeks gestation who seeks your advice about how best to deliver her baby. Her first child, who is now 3 years old, was delivered by elective cesarean at term because of a breech presentation and weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces. Her records are available and confirm that her cesarean was accomplished through a lower uterine segment transverse uterine incision. She would like to have a vaginal birth for this baby but has concerns about the safety of a trial of labor after cesarean. How would you counsel her?
