Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston is exploring how advanced communications technology can be used to provide enhanced educational, emotional, and medical support to families with babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Electronic House Calls Project is taking advantage of a unique partnership among four major organizations to bring user-friendly multimedia applications in health directly into the homes of elderly patients.
