INSTANT MATCH is a fun way to add some extra excitement when you play Pick-3 and Pick-4. Play INSTANT MATCH in addition to Pick-3 and Pick-4 and you could win up $500 on the spot!

• Play your favorite Pick-3 or Pick-4 numbers.
  
  
• Ask for INSTANT MATCH or mark the box labeled INSTANT MATCH on your bet slip. Each INSTANT MATCH bet is just $1.00 in addition to your Pick-3 or Pick-4 game purchase. The Green Machine will automatically pick your INSTANT MATCH numbers.
  
  
• Match your Pick-3 and Pick-4 numbers with any of the INSTANT MATCH numbers in any order, and you win the prize(s) shown, instantly!

Approximately one out of seven is a winner! If just one of your numbers matches any INSTANT MATCH number in any position, you win. Plus you can win up to three or four times per ticket, depending upon whether you play Pick-3 or Pick-4. INSTANT MATCH cash prizes range from $2.00 up to $500!

You can add INSTANT MATCH to either a Pick-3 or Pick-4 ticket for both MIDDAY and EVENING drawings. When placing a multiple Pick-3 or Pick-4 bet, please be sure to specify the bet to which you want to add a INSTANT MATCH play.

INSTANT MATCH is not available with Quick Pick or multiple wagers printed on one ticket.

Tickets with INSTANT MATCH bets cannot be cancelled.

How to Claim Your Prize

When you win the INSTANT MATCH you can cash it in before the Pick-3/Pick-4 drawing, simply sign the back of your ticket and hand it in to your Lottery Retailer for instant cash! You will be issued an exchange ticket with your original Pick-3/Pick-4 numbers, which could mean even more winnings! New Jersey Lottery winners can claim a prize worth $599.50 or less at any New Jersey Lottery Retailer and be paid cash at the time of the claim. A winner claiming a prize over $599.50 can do so at their New Jersey Lottery Retailer or at Lottery Headquarters. However, they must fill out a claim form, and the winnings will be reported to the Internal Revenue Service. It takes approximately three weeks to receive a check from the New Jersey Lottery. Proper identification for tax purposes must be presented at the time of the claim.

Federal Tax Requirements for Lottery Prizes

The Energy Policy Act of 1992, section 1942, requires the New Jersey Lottery to withhold a minimum 25% of all prize payments to any Lottery winner who has won more than $5,000 on any Lottery wager. At the end of the year, the winner will receive a W2-G form to properly credit the withholding as a tax payment on their federal income tax form.

New Jersey residents who win a New Jersey Lottery prize are not required to pay any New Jersey state income tax on their winnings. Winners who do not possess a social security number are subject to a 30% federal income tax deduction on any prize over $599.50.
