Introduction
This knowledge
path has been compiled by the Maternal
and Child Health Library at
Georgetown University. It points to current,
high-quality Spanish-language health
resources for health professionals and
consumers. The first section presents
general resources that cover a wide range
of health topics,
while the second section lists resources
that focus on specific aspects of maternal
and child health. This
knowledge path will be updated periodically.

safety. AHRQ is the health services

of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Initiatives include

a Superhero/Superhéroes. Presents
tips on ways to stay healthy and
talk with a doctor, recommendations
on preventive testing, help in
understanding prescriptions, and
a glossary of medical terms. Superhéroes
is a public service campaign that

Offers a gateway to Spanish-language
consumer health information from government and
nonprofit sources. healthfinder® is
a service of the Department
of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

Information Translations.
Offers a wealth of translated health-education
materials that are written in English
on one side and Spanish
on the other. Materials are organized
by category as follows:
disaster preparedness, diagnostic tests,
diseases
and medical conditions, exercise and
rehabilitation, nutrition, health and
wellness, home care, pain and comfort,
pediatrics, pregnancy and infant care,

Presents information about organizations
and programs
as well as educational materials

and families. Resources are
reviewed by college and university

and nurturing of young children,

back to the 1950s. These citations are
