Welcome to FIFI
The Florida Institute for Family Involvement (FIFI) is an organization dedicated to creating solutions, strengthening partnerships, enhancing community collaboration and building an information base for children and youth with special needs and their families.
Children with special health care needs are those who have or are at increased risk for a chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional condition and who also require health and related services of a type or amount beyond that required by children generally.
Over the past year there may have been some confusion regarding FIFI, its operation, and the continuation of the organization and its activities. We want to assure you that FIFI is here and continues to serve families of children and youth with special health care needs. FIFI is still the home of Family Voices FL and the statewide FL Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health. While FIFI remains a partner to all that address the needs of children and youth with special health care needs and their families, we are not affiliated with other state or community organizations that may be doing business as a “new FIFI” or that uses project names begun by FIFI.
