Production Data

Access to facility or VISN-level production data is requested through the local or VISN DSS Manager. Once the data of interest are identified, the local site DSS staff will generate requested reports.

A national level pull of selected data from the production databases can be obtained from the Decision Support Office (DSO) by special request. Creation of such a dataset may require complex data queries and may incur costly processing fees.

DSS National Data Extracts in SAS Datasets

Using national DSS SAS datasets maintained at the Austin Information Technology Center (AITC formerly: CFD; formerly: AAC) requires a TSO user account with permission to utilize the particular dataset(s) needed. In addition, requestors must complete an "Agreement Not To Disclose Data .

Summary Reports

Access to the summary reports on the VSSC Web site requires a VHA facility signon and password. Longer reports may also require an Austin Information Technology Center (AITC formerly: CFD; formerly: AAC) Time Sharing Option (TSO) account and approval to use the DSS National Data Extracts. The longer reports may be sent to the user via the Austin Information Technology Center (AITC formerly: CFD; formerly: AAC) TSO account.
