For Teachers and Students
NOAA's
Teacher at Sea Program
Are you a teacher who
is interested in marine or oceanographic research?
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
(NOAA) is looking for motivated
teachers (K-16) with a desire to do scientific
research at sea and share that experience with
students and colleagues. Several NOAA
ships participate in this extraordinary program. Please
visit the NOAA
Teacher at Sea Web site for more
information.
Tours
and Speakers
If you'd like to visit a ship
while it's in port in your area, please
contact one of our marine centers to arrange
a tour for your school group. In addition,
our NOAA Corps officers and civilian personnel
are often available to speak
to school groups.
If you are interested in learning more
about NOAA and the Office of Marine and Aviation
Operations, give us a call and we'll see if
we can arrange a speaker in an area of
interest to you.
