Public Involvement
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) developed
a Community Involvement Plan (CIP) to facilitate
communication between the community surrounding the
Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge NPL Site
(Refuge) and USFWS, US Environmental Protection
Agency (USEPA), the Illinois Environmental
Protection Agency (IEPA), and the Department of the
Army (DA), and to encourage community involvement in
site activities.
