December 4, 2008 - Version 4.2 of WISER is released. New features in this release include:

• Overlay of a chemical's protective distance zones on an interactive map
• Transportation criteria (DOT placard, rail car, road trailer) added to unknown chemical identification
• Signs/symptoms imagery added to biological agents
• General data updates, including four new substances
• Many miscellaneous enhancements

May 29, 2008 - Enhanced iPhone compatibility in WebWISER

April 25, 2008 - Version 4.1 of WISER is released. New features in this release include:

• Integration of the 2008 update of the Emergency Response Guidebook
• ERG Tool enhancements
• Support for 64-bit Windows platforms
• Section 508 compliance for WebWISER users with disabilities
• Other miscellaneous fixes and improvements

April 14, 2008 - A version of WISER for the upcoming Android platform is submitted to Google's Android Developer Challenge.

March 12, 2008 - WISER 4.0 is released. This major release adds biological support for all WISER platforms, providing substance data for Category A biological agents.

February 18, 2008 - A WISER training package is released: trainers are invited to download ready-made educational materials for training responders on the usage of WISER.

October 16, 2007 - WISER for Smartphone is released. The same functionality already available on Windows Mobile Pocket PCs is now available on Windows Mobile Smartphone devices.

September 28, 2007 - Version 3.0 of WISER for Palm OS released. This major release adds radiological support to the Palm OS platform, including a radioisotope substance list and radioisotope substance data, and enhancements to the unknown substance identification capability.

July 6, 2007 - Version 3.1 of WISER released for Windows, Pocket PC, and WebWISER, consisting of:

• Enhanced substance printing in WISER for Windows: a new print wizard allows printing of any/all data for a substance.
• General maintenance release for Windows, Pocket PC, and WebWISER. See the respective README files for more details.

May 29, 2007 - Version 3.0 of WISER released, which includes:

• Radiological support, including data for 20 isotope substances and a general "ionizing radiation" substance, and tools/reference materials for radiological incidents.
• An ERG 2004 Tool, comprising the complete ERG with powerful search capabilities.
• Improved, more powerful search capability of the substance list, including wildcarding
• Substance categories support: view all substances, just chemicals, just radioisotopes, or filter by substance categories such as the classes/divisions of the Hazard Classification System. Identify unknown substances, and group the results list, by substance categories.
• 9 new user-requested chemical substances, and incorporation of the latest Hazardous Substance Data Bank updates
• Protective Distance substance data menu option now includes the "Initial Isolation and Protective Action Distances" data from the ERG 2004
• And more!

November 30, 2006 - Version 2.3 of WISER released. Includes substance data updates; new data items (Ionization Potential, AEGL Levels); enhanced NFPA 704 data, display, and Help Identify capabilities; enhanced ERG guide page displays; better support for non-standard Pocket PC displays; and more!

April 21, 2006 - Version 2.2 of WISER released. This update includes 15 new substances, an updated data set, the ability to search by NFPA 704 placard in WISER for Windows, and support for integration with the new CoBRA v4.1.

Nov. 17, 2005 WebWISER is now available! The functionality of the standalone versions of WISER is now available over the Internet with your favorite PC- or PDA-based web browser!

Sep. 29, 2005 - Version 2.1 of WISER for Windows, Pocket PC, and Palm OS platforms is available for download. Updates include enhanced search data, data refinements and additions, and a printing capability for WISER for Windows.
