Native American Diabetes Project

"Strong in Body and Spirit" Community Education Curriculum and Training Program. Curriculum is a diabetes lifestyle education program for people with diabetes and their families designed to be taught by community members. Training is for teams of at least four people. Pathways

This is a multi-site research study which focuses on prevention of obesity in 3rd to 5th grade American Indian children by promoting increased physical activity and healthful eating behaviors. National Diabetes Education Program (NDEP)

A joint program sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This is a federally sponsored initiative that involves public and private partners to improve the treatement and outcomes for people with diabetes, to promote early diagnosis and ultimately to prevent the onset of diabetes.
