Women's Health Research Program

The Women's Health Research Program is part of the Institute for Clinical and Epidemiological Research (ICER), an umbrella organization for a diverse group of health services research entities and their activities, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

Our mission is to conduct research aimed at enhancing the knowledge and quality of women veteran's health.

We are comprised of an interdisciplinary team of investigators dedicated to women's health research such as biostatisticians, epidemiologist, psychologists, and physicians in the fields of internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, and psychiatry.

The Program conducts research pertinent to the health of women veterans which has included breast cancer, cardiology, osteoporosis, hepatitis C, hormone replacement therapy, self-rated health, and sexual trauma.
