  • American Liver Foundation
    A national nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and cure of hepatitis and other liver diseases through research, education, and advocacy. Web site features a database directory of hepatitis clinical trials, lay-oriented facts sheets, and links to additonal resources.
  • HCV Advocate
    Nonprofit, community-based organization that focuses on education, advocacy, and support for the hepatitis C community. Publishes the HCV Advocate newsletter.
  • Hepatitis B Foundation
    A nonprofit organization dedicated to finding a cure and improving the quality of life of those affected by hepatitis B worldwide through research, education, and patient advocacy. Features information in English, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese.
  • Hepatitis C Association
    Mission is to educate the public and provide emotional support to patients living with hepatitis C. Offers a toll-free support line.
  • Hepatitis C Connection
    Support system established to assist individuals with hepatitis C and their families. Site includes an online newsletter, patient information kit, and support group database.
  • Hepatitis Foundation International
    Work includes prevention of viral hepatitis by promoting liver wellness and healthful lifestyles, advocating for hepatitis patients and the related medical community worldwide, and supporting research into prevention, treatment, and cures for viral hepatitis.
  • Hep-C ALERT
    Nonprofit organization that seeks to provide information and assist people affected by hepatitis C. Maintains a toll-free hotline.
  • Immunization Action Coalition
    IAC's Hepatitis B Coalition promotes hepatitis B vaccination for all children 0-18 years; HBsAg screening for all pregnant women; testing and vaccination for high-risk groups; and education and treatment for people who are chronically infected with hepatitis B.
  • Latino Organization for Liver Awareness
    (LOLA) A national, bilingual, bicultural organization that conducts educational campaigns and offers prevention community outreach programs, treatment and referral services, and support groups. Web site also in Spanish.
  • NATAP: Hepatitis
    Recogizing that coinfection with viral hepatitis among people with HIV is a growing problem, the National AIDS Treatment Advocacy Project (NATAP) has developed an extensive amount of information on hepatitis, both in the context of HIV coinfection and as a separate illness. NATAP provides coverage of key conferences, maintains a selection of hepatitis articles, and features an ask-the-expert forum on hepatitis C.
  • National Hepatitis C Advocacy Council
    An association of organizations whose mission is to create a unified voice, promote ethical guidelines, and improve quality of services for people affected by hepatitis C.
  • United Network for Organ Sharing
    (UNOS) Nonprofit scientific, and educational organization that maintains the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) in the United States. Work includes the coordination of medical professionals, transplant recipients, and donor families to develop organ transplantation policy.
