Single Scope Background Investigation - Periodic Reinvestigation (SSBI-PR)
The President has approved a modification to the investigative standards for the Single Scope Background Investigation - Periodic Reinvestigation (SSBI-PR). The amended standard have been furnished to agency heads within the Executive branch for immediate implementation. It is to be used immediately by all government departments and agencies as the investigative basis for allowing continued access to classified information. It applies to all United States Government civilian and military personnel as well as consultants, contractors, licensees, certificate holders, grantees, and their employees and all other individuals who require access to classified information. The modified standard also applies to all such individuals who require access to Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Programs. In promulgating this amended standard, the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs has emphasized that it is essential to our national security that all agencies honor clearances properly renewed under this modified standard.

ISOO monitors approximately 65 executive branch departments, independent agencies and offices, and their major components.
