Questions of the Week

This week's question:
Where can I view my state's Certificate of Ascertainment and Certificate of Vote?

Answer:
There are three ways to view your state's certificates.

  • As the Office of the Federal Register receives and processes the certificates, they are scanned and images are posted on our web site.
Certificates of Ascertainment   |   Certificates of Vote

  • If you are in or near Washington, DC, you can arrange to inspect the certificates in-person at the Office of the Federal Register. Contact us for more information or to arrange an appointment.

  • View the certificates in your state. The Secretary of State of your state has the certificates available for viewing, too. Visit the National Secretaries of State web site for contact information.
