Locations

CAVHCS serves veterans from a 43-county area in Central Alabama. In addition to our main medical centers in Montgomery and Tuskegee, we offer a number of services to our patients in two community-based outpatient clinics located in Dothan, AL and Columbus, GA.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: To view schedules of shuttle transportation between Tuskegee and Montgomery Medical Centers, click here. If you need other public transportation information, click on this website -www.montgomerytransit.com.

In Montgomery, both the Cafeteria and Retail Store are located in Bldg. 1 and open Monday through Friday. The Cafeteria hours are 7:15am-2:00pm. Retail Store hours are 8:00am-3:30pm.

In Tuskegee, both the Cafeteria and the Retail Store are located in Bldg. 90 and open Monday through Friday. The Cafeteria hours are 7:00am-1:30pm. Retail Store hours are 7:30am-4:00pm.

Waiting Areas

For your convenience and safety, we have special waiting areas throughout the facility. Please do not gather in the hallways or at the nurses' stations.

We have volunteers who work in the Intensive Care waiting areas at specific times. Please check in, and give the volunteer the patient's name. If you leave the waiting area at any time, please let the volunteer know, in case we need to contact you.

Parking Information

For the Montgomery Campus

  • Visitors Parking area is located across from Building 1.
  • Bldg. # for entrance to lobby is Building 1.
  • Bus Stop/Shuttle on the grounds is Building 1.
  • Cafeteria/Retail Store is Building 1.

Our officers provide 24-hour patrols of the facility and parking lots. For general police assistance, please dial Security Service Office numbers above. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.

Because the VA Medical Center is federal property, all persons and bags are subject to search. In addition, no weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are permitted.

Lost and Found

Environmental Management Service maintains the Lost and Found areas at both facilities. In Montgomery, AL contact ext. 4752 or visit
Building 4, Room GE 113. Building 69 in the basement.

Chapel

A nondenominational chapel is available at the hospital. Protestant Worship Services and Catholic Mass are held on a regular basis. Please contact Chaplain Service at Montgomery-West Campus by calling ext. 4598 or visit Building 1, Room 3A-100. At Tuskegee-East Campus contact ext. 3372 or visit Building 93 for additional information or to speak with one of our Chaplains.
