摘要

背景
自 1980 年以來,美國兒童和青少年超重現象大幅上升。結果,兒童和青少年超重成為一個實質性的健康問題,需要實施有效的健康促進計畫和干預措施。

基本情況
和 2002 年鹽湖城舉行冬季奧運會的同一時間,猶他州衛生廳 (UDOH) 出臺了一項試點計畫,這項計畫稱為「金牌學校」(Gold Medal School, GMS),目的是促進學齡兒童的健康生活方式。

方法
制定 GMS 計畫,是為了幫助學校制定政策,創造健康的學校環境,以滿足 5 級具體標準:銅、銀、金、白金和重量級白金。參與的學校在 UDOH 的指導下,受到各項激勵措施的鼓勵,創造一個有益健康的學校環境。

結果
在猶他州 37 個學區中,總共有 316 所學校和約 166600 名學生參加了 GMS 計畫。結果,自計畫啟動(2001-2002 學年)以來,授予了 1029 枚獎牌,制定了 2205 條政策,並且報告發生了 2121 項環境變化。

說明
由於參與 GMS 計畫,各個學校制定實施了廣泛的學校政策,環境發生了改變。為改進這一計畫,我們建議加強影響和結果評估工作,並在學校上課日提高高強度身體活動的參與程度。
