VA Courses

  • Optimizing Therapy When HIV Treatment Fails (VA Intranet only)
    This course is designed to educate VA providers about new developments in therapies for HIV including a discussion regarding resistance to antiretroviral therapies in treatment-experienced patients with HIV.

    • CME on HIV
      Online slide/audio CME presentations for health care providers treating HIV/AIDS patients. Registration required.
    • CME Unlimited
      Providers of audio, video, CD-ROM, and online CME, including numerous HIV symposia.
    • HIV Web Study
      Free CME from the University of Washington and the Northwest AETC.
    • International AIDS Society-USA
      (IAS-USA) Offers advanced-level CME courses that present balanced, timely, scientifically rigorous, and clinically relevant information about HIV disease management to physicians who are actively involved in HIV care. Site features Cases on the Web , an online HIV CME program. Annual one-day CME programs in HIV epicenter cities are also conducted.

    • AIDS Education and Training Centers: National Resource Center
      (AETC-NRC) Provides education and training resources for HRSA-funded U.S. regional AETCs to support their mission of offering timely, high quality, state-of-the-art training and information to health care professionals working with existing and emerging populations affected by HIV.
    • National Network of STD/HIV Prevention Training Centers
      CDC-funded network dedicated to increasing the knowledge and skills of health professionals in the areas of sexual and reproductive health through provision of a spectrum of state-of-the-art educational opportunities, including experiential learning with an emphasis on prevention.
