CHCE is a HSR&D Center of Excellence, which is called the Center for Health Care Evaluation: Improving Clinical Decision-Making and Treatment Effectiveness (HSR&D).

CHCE is closely integrated with two other programs:

a) the Health Economics Research Center (HERC), a national center that assists VA health economics researchers; and

(b) the national VA center for the evaluation of substance abuse treatment services, called the Program Evaluation and Resource Center (PERC).

In addition, CHCE is closely affiliated with the Sierra Pacific Network Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center (MIRECC), and the VA Cooperative Studies Program (CSP).
