Application Process
You will complete and submit your application to NC State University online using WolfPaw, your Personal NC State Admissions site. From there you can follow the status of your application; customize the site content to keep you informed about the topics that are important to you; register to attend our Open House, regular admissions information sessions, and campus tours. Important Dates
Please note, different deadlines apply for international applicants and for U.S. citizens and permanent residents, as well as for applications to the College of Design programs and Agricultural Institute. Don’t wait to apply—freshman admission to NC State is competitive and applications are processed in a first-in, first-out order.

Graduate Admissions
NC State University is a premier center for graduate study, known nationally for innovative degree programs, a world-renowned faculty, and groundbreaking collaborative research. The Graduate School is responsible for administering over 220 different graduate degrees (Master’s. Ph.D., and Ed.D.) across all 10 of NC State’s academic colleges. Currently, more than 7,400 students from all areas of the U.S. and 85 other countries are pursuing post-baccalaureate study at NC State.

Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine
One of the newest colleges of veterinary medicine, NC State’s College of Veterinary Medicine is among only 28 veterinary colleges in the United States and the only one of its kind in North Carolina. The college is unique among veterinary programs with an on-site teaching animal unit and veterinary teaching hospital. The program has already established a national reputation for excellence in teaching, research and community outreach. Non-Degree Programs and Courses
For those interested in taking courses without enrolling in a degree program, NC State offers courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Available both on-campus and through distance education, students who meet course prerequisites fit higher ed among demanding and busy schedules.
Readmissions
Students previously admitted to a degree program at the undergraduate, graduate, veterinary medicine, or agricultural institute level who have not attended NC State for at least one fall or spring semester must be readmitted to the university to register for classes.
