Modoc Interagency Hotshot Crew

Photo of Modoc Hot Shot Crew building firelineThe Modoc Interagency Hotshot Crew (IHC) was established in 2001, in response to the National Fire Plan. On May 30, 2003, the Modoc crew earned recognition as a fully qualified ICH, after completion of a two-day certification process where they met or exceeded all requirements specified in the National Interagency Hotshot Crew Operation Guide.

It was apparent that the crew worked and trained hard to earn this certification. All members of the Hotshot Crew participated as a cohesive unit to complete the certification process. It is notable that through Superintendent Greg Keller’s leadership, the crew obtained Interagency Hotshot Crew status in one year after accepting the Superintendent position.

Congratulations to the Modoc Interagency Hotshot Crew.
