*General wind ranges at the 20-meter level for economic feasibility in Utah:

>8 mph - sufficent for water pumping and other low-energy uses
>9 mph - sufficent for small-scale residential applications (1 to 10 kW)
>12 mph - sufficient for larger-scale applications (>10 kW)

Note: These wind-speed ranges are only estimates. The economics of wind energy depend on specific site factors such as wind duration, time of day the wind blows, and the type of turbine used.
