Purpose of the Report

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Performance and Accountability Report (PAR) provides results on VA’s progress towards providing America’s veterans with the best in benefits and health care.

The PAR contains performance targets and results achieved during FY 2007.  As such, it is VA’s report card and, in this context, strives to communicate to you, the American people, how well VA has done, the tangible public benefits VA has produced, the impacts we have had, and the forward-looking strategies we are employing to achieve and maintain excellence.
