Program Description and Accomplishments
Payments are made to the State of Hawaii for the medical
care and treatment in its hospital and clinic facilities
at Kalaupapa, Molokai and Honolulu of persons with
Hansen’s Disease (HD). Expenses above the level
of the Federal funds appropriated for the support
of medical care are borne by the State of Hawaii.
