U.S. Embassy Supports Four Lebanese Non-governmental Organizations

Ambassador Michele J. Sison and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/Lebanon Mission Director Denise A. Herbol presented four checks totaling $198,840 to four Lebanese non-governmental organizations at a ceremony held at Father Afif Osseiran Foundation in Fanar on November 7, 2008.  USAID’s assistance targets local non-governmental organizations benefiting disadvantaged and vulnerable groups such as the disabled, orphans, children, students at free of charge schools, patients in low-cost dispensaries, at-risk youth, and the elderly... U.S. Assistant Secretary for International Organization Affairs Visits Lebanon
