Rola Helou - IVLP 2009
Executive Director of EDAN (Ecumenical Disability Advocates Network)

Rola Helou“In May 2009, I had the opportunity to travel to the U.S to participate in the International Visitors Leadership Program entitled ‘Disability Rights and Issues.’  The program added a lot to my experience with respect to disabled people.  I learned how they are integrated in their society in many aspects of life and how technology helps them be more independent.  I also learned how the government and the NGOs are working together to include disabled people and to spread awareness in society”.
