Downloading Posted Materials

The various materials posted on this Web site for DataSpeak events may be posted in a variety of formats. Recommendations are as follows:

1. General HTML format - You may simply print these pages out for your use. If your browser does not print clear pages, you can turn off the option in your browser to print background colors and images. To do this:
   • Internet Explorer: In the top menu, 1- select "Tools", 2- select "Internet Options", 3- select the "Advanced" tab, scroll down to "Printing" and uncheck the option for "Print Background Colors and Images."
   • Netscape: In the top menu, 1- select "Edit", 2- select "Preferences", 3- select "Appearance", 4- select "Colors", 5- check the "always use my colors" option, and 6- make the background color white and the text color black.
2. PDF format - Some of the materials on this site will be published in .PDF format, which is very printer-friendly. To open and/or print these documents, you will need to download the FREE Adobe PDF Reader. You can do this at the Adobe Web site by clicking the logo below:

   

3. PowerPoint (.ppt) format - Most of the presentation files will be available on the Web site in Microsoft PowerPoint format.
• To download this file, simply "right-click" on the link, and select "save target as" or "save link as" (depending upon your browser), and save it on your computer's hard drive. (note: you will need to have Microsoft PowerPoint installed on your computer to do this).
  
• In the most recent versions of Internet Explorer, you can view the PowerPoint presentations directly in the browser simply by clicking on the link.
4. Excel spreadsheet format - some statistical data will be posted on the Web site for your review in Microsoft Excel format.
   • To download this file, simply "right-click" on the link, and select "save target as" or "save link as" (depending upon your browser), and save it on your computer's hard drive. (note: you will need to have Microsoft Excel installed on your computer to do this).
