Major League Baseball’s “Iron Man” Cal Ripkin, Jr. is the very embodiment of a sports hero who is known as much for his work ethic and self-discipline as his record-breaking streak of consecutive games played. A perennial All Star and Golden Glove recipient, in this era of free-agency, Ripken is unusual in that he has played his entire career with the Baltimore Orioles.
