On February 27, 2008, Representative Howard Berman (D-CA) introduced H.R. 5501, the Tom Lantos and Henry J. Hyde United States Global Leadership Against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Reauthorization Act of 2008, as amended. H.R. 5501 was referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs.
