Meeting Summary
The purpose of the Science of Real-Time Data Capture conference, held in September 2003, was to examine the state of the science of momentary data capture and its application to health and cancer research. The conference brought together leading researchers, scientists, and technology experts to discuss real-time data capture research (i.e., ecological momentary assessments [EMA]). Furthermore, it provided a conceptual framework for EMA, presented exemplars of EMA research, and conducted technical workshops. Research needs and recommend research priorities were discussed.
