Accounting

         The Accounting Division has the following responsibilities:

  • Maintains and controls the City's financial records and books of original entry
  • Prepares, analyzes and publishes financial reports including the annual financial report (CAFR), single audit report and the management letter
  • Assists the independent auditors in conducting the annual audit
  • Records debt obligations
  • Prepares payroll
  • Pays invoices for purchases and contracts made by the City
  • Assists in preparing the City's financial plan and budget document.
