Rhode Island DEM – EPA NE Performance Partnership Agreement (PPA)
The performance partnership agreement outlines the goal, mission, activities and actions that the state environmental agency will be completing during the current performance partnership cycle (usually two or three years). The partnership is between the State of Rhode Island's Department of Environmental Management and EPA New England.

Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management
The Department of Environmental Management (DEM) are committed to preserving the quality of Rhode Island's environment, maintaining the health and safety of its residents, and protecting the natural systems upon which life depends.

Rhode Island Department of Health
The primary mission of the Rhode Island Department of Health is to prevent disease and to protect and promote the health and safety of the people of Rhode Island.

Rhode Island Department of Transportation
The Department of Transportation’s mission is to maintain and provide a safe, efficient, environmentally, aesthetically and culturally sensitive intermodal transportation network that offers a variety of convenient, cost-effective mobility opportunities for people and the movement of goods supporting economic development and improved quality of life.

Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (EDC)
The mission at the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation to strengthen the Rhode Island economy through policies, programs, and projects, which enhance and enrich the business environment for public and private sectors in order to create prosperity for all Rhode Islanders.

Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission
The Public Utilities Commission serves as a quasi-judicial tribunal with jurisdiction, powers, and duties to implement and enforce the standards of conduct under §39-1-27.6 and to hold investigations and hearings involving the rates, tariffs, tolls, and charges, and the sufficiency and reasonableness of facilities and accommodations of railroad, ferry boats, gas, electric distribution, water, telephone, telegraph, and pipeline public utilities, the location of railroad depots and stations, and the control of grade crossings, the revocation, suspension or alteration of certificates issued pursuant to §39-19-4, appeals under §39-1-30, petitions under §39-1-31, and proceedings under §39-1-32.

Rhode Island State Energy Office
The Rhode Island State Energy Office (RISEO) administers a variety of federal and state program grants which provide a broad spectrum of energy assistance, energy and water conservation, and weatherization services to the people of Rhode Island.

Rhode Island Water Resources Board The Rhode Island Water Resources Board is an executive agency of state government charged with managing the proper development, utilization and conservation of water resources.

Audubon Society RI Chapter
Audubon Society of Rhode Island is an independent, nonprofit, state organization dedicated to the conservation of wildlife habitat, the education of young and old about natural ecosystems and the need to preserve them, and advocacy in order to promote continued efforts at preserving our natural heritage.

Nature Conservancy RI
The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to preserve plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive. We are dedicated to preserving biological diversity, and, as described below, our values compel us to find ways to ensure that human activities can be conducted harmoniously with the preservation of natural diversity.

New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC)
A nonprofit interstate agency that serves and assists—Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont—by coordinating activities and forums that encourage cooperation among the states, educating the public about key water quality issues, supporting research projects, training environmental professionals, and providing overall leadership in water management and protection.

Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM)
A nonprofit association of air quality agencies in the Northeast. NESCAUM's Board of Directors consists of the air directors of the six New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont), New Jersey, and New York. NESCAUM provide scientific, technical, analytical, and policy support to the air quality programs of the eight Northeast states.

Northeast Waste Management Officials' Association (NEWMOA)
A nonprofit, nonpartisan interstate association that has a membership composed of the hazardous waste, solid waste, waste site cleanup and pollution prevention program directors for the environmental agencies in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. NEWMOA was established by the Governors of the New England states as an official regional organization to coordinate interstate hazardous and solid waste, and pollution prevention activities and support state waste programs.

The Partnership for Narragansett Bay
The mission is to promote communication and integration among planning efforts for Narragansett Bay and coastal Rhode Island; protect, restore, and improve Narragansett Bay and coastal Rhode Island ecosystems; foster informed, science-based decision-making; and pursue sustainable economic development of Narragansett Bay and coastal Rhode Island.

Rhode Island Clean Water Finance Agency
The Agency, established in 1989 by the Rhode Island General Assembly, was created as a body politic and corporate; a public instrumentality of the State to administer certain federal and state programs relating to municipal or community wastewater and drinking water financial assistance.

Save the Bay: People for the Narragansett Bay
The mission of Save The Bay is to ensure that the environmental quality of Narragansett Bay and its watershed is restored and protected from the harmful effects of human activity. Save The Bay seeks carefully planned use of the Bay and its watershed to allow the natural system to function normally and healthfully, both now and for the future.
