Vision to Reality
Second Annual National Environmental Public Health Tracking Conference
(Atlanta, GA - April 20-22, 2005)
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) joins our partners to announce the second conference highlighting the National Environmental Public Health Tracking Program.
Anticipated attendees are any person or organization engaged in the Environmental Public Health Tracking (EPHT) Program or interested in learning more about EPHT. This may include local, regional and national decision makers, researchers, healthcare providers, policy makers, and community members.
This meeting is entitled "Vision to Reality" because the conference is centered around themes of the EPHT Program, and seeks to highlight the program’s accomplishments and lessons learned. The 2005 National Environmental Public Health Tracking Conference will allow participants to:
- Share successful methodologies for integrating environmental and health information to guide public health practice and policy
- Communicate important findings from environmental public health tracking projects
- Strengthen collaborations to promote the development of an environmental public health tracking network at the local, state, and national level
All of the presenters in the breakout sessions will be grantees, and they have organized their presentations around the five themes of tracking:
- Build the National Network
- Enhance Workforce and Infrastructure
- Disseminating Information to Guide Policy, Practice and Actions to Improve Nation’s Health
- Advance Science and Research
- Foster Collaboration Among Public Health and Environmental Programs
