Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS)
The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) is the world’s largest, on-going telephone health survey system, tracking health conditions and risk behaviors in the United States yearly since 1984. BRFSS provides state-specific information about issues such as asthma, diabetes, health care access, alcohol use, hypertension, obesity, cancer screening, nutrition and physical activity, tobacco use, and more.
Contains information on trends in health-related behaviors, health status, health care utilization, and cost of care for the older population in the United States. The warehouse contains information from a variety of national and state level data systems, the majority maintained by NCHS.
A collection of vital statistics products including tables, data files, and reports that allow users to access and examine vital statistics and population data interactively. Currently, birth data at the national and state levels are available; mortality data will be available in the future.
An interactive data warehouse that presents data for infants, children, adolescents, adults and older adults on health topics including pregnancy and birth, health conditions and risk factors, health care use, mortality and selected Healthy People 2010 objectives.
WISQARS: (Web-based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting System)
WISQARSTM is an interactive database system that provides customized reports of injury-related data.
State Tobacco Activities Tracking and Evaluation (STATE) System
The State Tobacco Activities Tracking and Evaluation (STATE) System is an electronic data warehouse containing up-to-date and historical state-level data on tobacco use prevention and control.
