Eau Galle Recreation Area
Overview
|
Eau Galle Reservoir is a 150-acre impoundment surrounded by two day use areas, a beach, two boat launches, one campground and several miles of hiking and equestrian trails. It is located just north of Spring Valley, Wis., 50 miles east of the Twin Cities and 40 miles west of Eau Claire, Wis.
There are electric, non-electric and walk-in tent campsites available. The foot trails provide a scenic and relaxing view of the woodlands and wetlands. These trails will lead you to a variety of places from picnic areas and playgrounds to a sandy beach and volleyball courts.
An abundance of largemouth bass, crappies, bluegills and sunfish provides plenty of action for the angler year-round whether it is from shore or a boat. Eau Galle Reservoir is open to boating but only to non-gasoline powered boats.
