DBTAC - Northeast ADA Center

This Disability & Business Technical Assistance Center (DBTAC) provides training, information and technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and accessible information technology (IT) to people in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.

U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) - New York District Office

The New York District Office has jurisdiction over the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and several counties New Jersey.

HUD Approved Housing Counseling Agencies in New Jersey

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) sponsors housing counseling agencies throughout the country that can provide advice on buying a home, renting, defaults, foreclosures, credit issues and reverse mortgages.

New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities

Engages in advocacy, capacity building and systemic change that includes needed community services, individualized supports and other forms of assistance that promote self determination for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

New Jersey Department of Human Services

Works to ensure that the rights of people with disabilities are protected and that they and their families have access to quality programs and services including health care, community living, employment programs and assistive technology.

New Jersey Division of Aging & Community Services (DACS)

Administers programs and services designed to make it easier for seniors to maintain independence, including case management, adult day care programs, housing services, senior employment programs, transportation services, in-home services, healthcare and advocacy services.

New Jersey Division of Developmental Disability Advocacy

The Division elicits, receives, responds to and resolves complaints from patients, their families, other interested citizens, public officials and government agencies related to conditions in the state's developmental disabilities facilities.

New Jersey Protection & Advocacy (NJP&A)

A consumer-directed, non-profit organization that serves as New Jersey's designated protection and advocacy system for people with disabilities.
